Everyone tells you how important it is to snack, but this is not always the case when you opt for high sugar and overly processed items. It is not always easy to make “fresh” snacks each day so here is an easy healthy protein snack recipe that’s easy to make and you can freeze so you have tasty and healthy treats for a few weeks. Make a batch of 20 high protein snacks:

Protein Balls

(20 Servings)


  • 1 1/2 cup of rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup Nutrition Journey Protein Powder
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp. chai seeds
  • 1/2 cup almond butter
  • 3 tbsp. manuka honey
  • 1 tsp. vanilla essence
  • 1/3  cup sunflower seeds
  • 2 tbsp. flaxseed oil
  • 2 tbsp. cashew or almond milk


  • Add oats, protein powder, cinnamon and chia seeds to a large bowl.
  • Add in almond butter, honey and vanilla extract. Stir to combine.
  • Add flaxseed oil, sunflower seeds.
  • Mixture should be slightly sticky but still crumbly.
  • Slowly add in liquid 1 tbsp. at a time and using hands combine until it comes together in a sticky ball that holds together.
  • Roll into balls using hands.
  • Place in a container to set in the freezer for at least 30 mins.
  • Store in the freezer until ready to eat & ENJOY!!
